Serving Women Veterans
and Their Families

We had a Great Day Walking for Women Veterans on Sunday, May 21
Our walk at Pace University in Pleasantville brought together people from across Westchester in support of women veterans. It was a perfect day with clear skies and some wonderful donated breakfast goodies from local Starbucks, Baked by Susan in Croton, Dannon and Key Foods. WHUD brought their family fun crew and Kacey from Mike and Kacey in the morning got us all up and moving. Club Pilates sponsored our t-shirts and the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson helped people write thank you cards to our veterans and gave out cookies to veterans present. We even had purple sparkles in our hair and on our nails thanks to Tara Colavecchio from Dragonfly Hair Studio in Peekskill.
If you missed the Walk you can still donate. Just click the DONATE button at the top of the Home Page and donate in support of women veterans.
And if you weren’t able to be with us this year, we hope you’ll join us next year!
Women Veterans have unique needs for healthcare, housing, employment and childcare in addition to needs shared with their male colleagues.
